Three aspects of the progress in the seismic wave radar research were summarized: the transplantation of air gun technique,developed over the last 20 years of the 20th century,from the Marine to the mainland,the applications of the electromagnetic wave radar theory and information technology to seismology,and the new seismic array observation technique that lately emerged.
